X Modifieds
A new class of Modified racecars are competing on Wednesday nights as a part of
the Waterford Speedbowl´s "Wild and Wacky Wednesday Nights" race
program. The basic premise of X-Modifieds is to develop a class of Modifieds that
are affordable and safe. The emphasis is placed on learning and having fun. Points
will be kept and a very minimal purse will be paid to the top ten finishers each
week.

John Kurtzman won
a record seven times en route to the 2006 Wild n´ Wacky Wednesday X-Modified
championship. A run of four-straight in late July and August put Kurtzman in control
as the series enjoyed a third straight year of growth. He was one of seven feature
winners the list also including point runner-up Dean Christensen. Other winners
included Bubby Brouwer (2), Scott Fearn (2), Russ Holly (3), Dave Flammia Jr. and
James Civali. |
